What this Day Master means

Ji is traditionally compared with cultivated soil. This image puts the emphasis on nourishment, practical care and the conditions around growth. It is not a statement that you must always support others; it can also invite reflection on the care you receive.

How to identify it

Look for 己 at the top of your day pillar. Seeing it in the year, month or hour pillar does not make it your Day Master. Ji belongs to Yin Earth, so its yin-yang quality is part of its name, not a second score to calculate.
