What this Day Master means
Wu is often represented by a mountain or substantial ground. It evokes containment, a long view and dependable structure. In practice, a Day Master cannot tell whether someone is stubborn or reliable; those are behaviors shaped by circumstances and choices.
How to identify it
Look for 戊 at the top of your day pillar. Seeing it in the year, month or hour pillar does not make it your Day Master. Wu belongs to Yang Earth, so its yin-yang quality is part of its name, not a second score to calculate.

Where does your steadiness help? Is there an assumption you could reconsider without losing your foundation?
Read it in context
A Day Master does not determine the strength of its element. Month and season, other stems, branch relationships and the chosen interpretive school all matter in traditional analysis.
